Rieke Metals Polymer Kits For R&D

Rieke Metals offers a wide variety of polymers for research and development purposes. We currently manufacture many different Specialty Conducting Polymers and Substituted Thiophenes as part of that polymer portfolio. If you are not sure what will work best in your research or need to study different chain lengths consider one of Rieke Metals’ polymer research kits.

Changing the chain length can have profound effects on the polymer performance. Varying the length of the side chain not only influences solubility of the polymer but can also change the thermal, electrochemical, photophysical, and morphological properties of the polymer all together.

These following five kits contain 200mg of four to five different chain lengths of a polymer:

– Regioregular poly(3-alkylthiophene-2,5-diyl) kit, Catalog K1023

– Regiorandom poly(3-alkylthiophene-2,5-diyl) kit, Catalog K1024

– Water soluble polymers kit, Catalog K1025

– Functionalized 3-alkylthiophene with a terminal acid kit, Catalog K1026

– Functionalized 3-alkylthiophene with a terminal ester, Catalog K1027

In addition to these kits we also offer a customizable kit, K1028 where the customer can determine which 4 x 200mg polymers they would like to have included in their kit.


New to the Rieke Metals product portfolio is kit K1029 which includes 3 x 200mg each of our oxygenated side chain polymers– 4017, 4019, and 4028. These polymers are not available for the customizable kit.
